Aequita Consulting LLC is a mission-driven firm that provides flexible services to meet client needs. Founded by Anna Brown and formed in 2017, Aequita specializes in climate change with deep experience in climate adaptation and resilience. Aequita works with clients that range from government, philanthropy, policy and research institutions, and community finance institutions. Projects include extreme heat planning, program strategy and design, research, synthesis, and facilitation. Clients include: Climate Emergency Collaboration Group, New York State Energy Research & Development Authority, World Resources Institute, and Nuka Research and Planning Group.

About Anna Brown, CC-P
Anna Brown, a certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), is the Founding Principal of Aequita Consulting LLC. An interdisciplinary practitioner and systems entrepreneur, Anna has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of human and environmental systems with a focus on social equity and transformative change. She has extensive experience in climate adaptation and resilience, inclusive development in urban and rural economies, and sustainable development in North America, Asia, and Africa. Anna served as Senior Advisor to USAID’s Climate Adaptation Support Activity within Tetra Tech, providing technical guidance to mainstream adaptation across USAID. Anna managed the groundbreaking Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN) at The Rockefeller Foundation and led the North America climate adaptation strategy for The Nature Conservancy. She has also partnered with community development finance institutions, including Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI).

Anna serves on several boards from local to global scales, including Maine Conservation Voters (MCV), Earth Force, and the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET). She is also a member of Fannie Mae’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council. Anna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Brown University and a Master in City Planning degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
